What is the u3a?
The u3a is a nationwide movement run to provide a wide range of local opportunities to come together to learn and explore new ideas, skills and activities in a fun way. All the activities are run by members for the members and reflects the movement’s objectives summed up in the line ‘Learn, laugh, live through sharing’
Founded in 1982 there are now over a thousand local u3as providing opportunities for those no longer in full time work to use their time to share and learn new interests, skills, experience and knowledge in an enjoyable, friendly and sociable environment.
